Press Release: Arl Weinrebe Retires from MCMC

On the morning of September 23rd, Murray County Medical Center hosted a retirement celebration for their Plant Operations Manager, Arl Weinrebe. Administration, staff, and family joined in to thank Arl for his many years of service to the hospital and the community.

Weinrebe had been employed at Murray County Medical Center since September 28th, 1982, retiring just short of 40 years. He dedicated his career at the hospital towards promoting patient and employee safety, while also overseeing maintenance operations. Under his leadership, many improvements were made to the facility including adopting use of solar energy for operations. Weinrebe also participated in community education on safety topics, such as his annual summer bike safety talk to local children at Pocket Park.

“We are truly grateful for his compassion, leadership, and energy and wish him the best in his future endeavors following retirement” stated Luke Schryvers, CEO of Murray County Medical Center.

During the celebration, Arl mentioned he is looking forward to spending time with his loved ones, including visiting his son that lives in Arizona. Arl is also an avid biker, gardener, and bow hunter, and plans to use much of his free time staying active.

All of us at Murray County Medical Center wish Arl much happiness in his retirement, and want to thank him for his many years of service here at our organization!
