Atul Mishra, MD, Pediatrics

Full-Time Pediatrician, Dr. Mishra

Atul Mishra’s passion to become a pediatrician was confirmed after an ‘ah ha’ moment with a young patient. He realized that children are very honest, they listen and they are our community and world’s future.

Nearly 30 years ago Dr. Mishra was pursued to visit Southwest, Minnesota by the CEO of Wiener Memorial Hospital in Marshall. After receiving a very warm welcome from the  community he made the decision to accept the pediatrician position. “I realized that all of the other jobs were jobs I wanted, but the hospital in Marshall wanted me, and that is very powerful,” stated Mishra.

Dr. Mishra’s natural gift and passion for pediatrics in rural health care led to the establishment and development of the pediatrics program in the hospital and clinic in Marshall. Over the course of nearly 3 decades of pediatric devotion to the Marshall and Southwest Minnesota community, he built a large and devoted practice, seeing generations of children within families in Southwest Minnesota.

Murray County is very lucky to have a pediatric pioneer and educator like Dr. Mishra providing services here at MCMC. Dr. Mishra is taking patients Monday-Friday. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Mishra please call us at: 507.836.6153.
